How To Apply & Remove
Applying K-Lashes
A Step-by-Step Guide
1. Prep Your Canvas
Start with a completely clean base. Your natural lashes must be free of any oils, makeup, or skincare residue to ensure the adhesive bonds correctly.
2. Handle with Care
Using your lash applicator/tweezers, gently pick up a lash cluster. Be sure to grip it by the band (the base) rather than the delicate tips.
3. Get the Right Angle
Hold the tweezers in your dominant hand. Use your other hand to gently lift your eyebrow/eyelid upward. This exposes the underside of your upper lash line, giving you the best visibility for application.
4. Application Process
- Apply Bond directly onto the band of the cluster lash for a stronger hold.
- Placement: Position the cluster underneath your natural lashes.
- Spacing: Leave a tiny gap (approx. 1mm) between the lash band and your waterline.
- Set: Hold the cluster in place for 5–10 seconds. You can gently fan your eye with your hand to help the bond become tacky faster.
- Direction: Begin at the outer corner of your eye and work your way inward. Place clusters close to one another to build your desired volume and shape.
5. Fuse and Secure
Once all clusters are placed, use your tweezers or fingers to gently press (sandwich) your natural lashes and the clusters together. This fusing step blends them seamlessly and ensures a secure hold.
6. Seal the Deal (Recommended)
Apply a thin layer of lash sealant along the spine of the lashes where the adhesive sits. This eliminates any sticky residue and adds a waterproof barrier to extend wear time. Be careful not to apply too much sealant—using excess can create a noticeable white coating on the lashes.
7. The 24-Hour Rule
Keep your lashes dry for the first 24 hours. This allows the adhesive to fully cure and set for maximum longevity.
Pro Tips for Success
- Patience Pays Off: Application is a skill. Don't rush! If this is your first time applying DIY extensions, please allow yourself extra time (more than the standard 15 minutes). There is a small learning curve, which is completely normal.
- Keep Tools Clean: If your tweezers start sticking to the lashes when you clamp them, it means there is bond residue on the tool. Wipe it clean to avoid pulling lashes off.
- Avoid Oils: Oil dissolves glue.
- Sleep Smart: Try to avoid sleeping directly on your face to prevent putting pressure on your lashes.
- Do Not Touch or Pull: Avoid rubbing, pulling, or putting any unnecessary pressure on your lash extensions.
- No Mascara Needed: Your new extensions are designed to look full and beautiful on their own. Please do not apply mascara to them.
- Handle with Care When Wet: When your lashes get wet, use common sense. Gently pat them dry with a towel and brush them with the provided lash brush. While showering or washing your face, try to limit direct, high-pressure water exposure.
- Easy Touch-Ups: If a lash segment detaches before than expected, you can easily remove it and reapply it following the original instructions.
Removing K-Lashes
A Step-by-Step Guide
- Apply – Gently apply the remover along the lash line, focusing on areas with adhesive.
- Wait – Allow the remover to sit for a few minutes to soften the bond.
- Gently Remove – Carefully slide the clusters downward from the natural lashes, or gently peel upward from the root.
- Clean Residue – Use a clean cotton swab with remover to remove any remaining adhesive from natural lashes.
- Repeat if Needed – Reapply and wait again for stubborn areas.
Important: Always remove lashes gently—never pull clusters off.
